Trash TV vs Wall Street Journal
Ugh, so after much criticism of the trash tv watching habit I developed while living with our Egyptian trainee, I've decided to replace my beloved past time with newspapers. After craving intellectual conversation and finding no stimulation from my peers, I decided to edu-ma-cate myself with news.
Note, the NY Times suck. I learned absolutely nothing except about a new book coming out and different dog food recipes for the dog I don't have. However, the Wall Street Journal rocks my world so I'm sticking with those.
I wonder what's happening on "Bad Girls" or "I Love New York" *sigh*
If you can't tell, I'm bored, emotionless, drained. "I felt very still and very empty, the way the eye of a tornado must feel, moving dully along in the middle of the surrounding hullabaloo." *le sigh*
In other news, kinda wish I was still working at the utility company to see what they're going to do concerning the new decision that carbon dioxide is an air pollutant. We talked about it at work in the Fall and it was all, "So long as they don't try to make us deal with CO2..." dum dum dum! There is technology but it's ridiculously expensive and most people have been investing in reducing sulfur. At least I can say I learned something from my year there other than just excel shortcuts.

You could also read the Financial Times. It's pink? Why? Because it's stained with the blood of the innocents of course. :)
There is too much capitalism in AIESEC.
You should read anything by Erich Fromm. To Have or To Be and Escape from Freedom.
Personally, I prefer the economist... Founded in 1843 "to take part in a severe contest between intelligence, which presses forward, and an unworthy, timid ignorance obstructing our progress."
Can't beat that ambition!
